Job Summary:

  • Responsible for delivering the project deliverables per the SoW agreed
  • Manage the activities, resources and constraints to achieve desired plans
  • Organize and define project governance mechanism including clear roles and responsibilities for the project team members
  • Achieve the KPIs defined for the project
  • Point of contact for the customer on all project aspects
  • Lead support accounts

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Plan, execute, monitor and control software development life cycle phases from requirements elicitation till software deployment activities
  • Ensure overall understanding of customer requirements, applications, design and development procedures, associated tools and technology, versions of the associated development platforms and transition details to the offshore development team
  • Ensure overall understanding of the technical design and development deliverables, application set up and deployment procedures to facilitate reviews/acceptance for the same
  • Manage the project execution and coordinate with the offshore, onsite , customer and other relevant teams to align the deliverables expectations between the producer and consumer teams
  • Identify the root causes, corrective and preventive actions of issues and defects
  • Coordinate with customer and delivery teams to share progress information, analyze deviations from plans and report corrective/recovery actions to achieve the expectations
  • PoC for the offshore team and onsite team to source support from other internal expert teams inorder to influence the success of the project and customer requirements
  • Analyse project’s overall performance and document lessons learnt to be shared across project team to ensure project improvements are planned and implemented
  • Provide support for pre-sales activities

Qualification:

  • Minimum 6-10 years’ experience in a full software development life-cycle project
  • Good understanding of JAVA, SOAP, XML, SQL, OOA and OOD Concepts
  • Hand’s on experience of FP estimation, WBS estimation, Project management tools –MS project, MS office tools, SHAREPOINT, JIRA etc
  • Good knowledge of design patterns, design models and multi-tier architecture applications
  • Proven, successful track record of managing software development activities from multi locations and coordination with customers and offshore /onsite delivery teams
  • Experience in Airline domain / Passenger Reservation Systems is an added advantage

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Currently reside in Japan and can have face to face interviews at Tokyo Office.
  • Native Japanese
