Job location: Atlanta, GA
Conduct business and technical discussions with different stake holders and gather product requirements at client side. Collect the technical support available in client platform and evaluate whether they satisfy the needs of clients who need to be migrated to new platforms. Design and review architectural diagrams, and high level sequence diagrams. Define the project roadmap for high level features to be envisioned based on client requirements for the timely delivery of quality product by measuring high level work estimates and resource availability. Guide the internal teams to design web services Application Program Interface (API) to facilitate flight, car, hotel and vacation package bookings for various clients in par with the industry standards. Review the code design, implementation plan, development deployment plan and server optimization plan with Java and Amazon Web Services (AWS) in cloud platform and share the feedback for improvements to the API. Conduct feature demos to showcase incremental feature delivery as committed. Coordinate with the internal teams to create test plan and test the developed APIs for user acceptance and approval. Ownership to draft and publish documentation of the APIs. Coordinate with the teams to better handle the support queries raised by provisioning the tools and techniques required. Conduct daily standup meeting, sprint planning meeting, mid-sprint meeting, sprint retrospective meeting and technical envisioning meeting to adhere to the Agile In Large (AIL) principles followed by the company. Travel and work at client sites as assigned.
Requires Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Computer Technology, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or related field plus one (1) year of experience in the job offered or a related IT or engineering role. Requires one (1) year of experience in the following: JAVA, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring, and Hibernate for developing core applications; REST and SOAP Web Service for creating external interface for applications or connecting to third party services; Junit and Test NG for unit testing and integration testing of applications; Maven and Gradle for packaging applications for deployment; and Amazon Web Services (AWS) for managing cloud based applications. Also requires one (1) year of experience in the travel domain involving Global Distribution Systems (GDS) for Flight, Hotel and Car suppliers. Employer will also accept a Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of described experience in lieu of a Master’s degree plus one (1) year of described experience. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Travel and work at client sites as assigned.
